From a very young age, I knew I was destined to do something creative with my life. Hours upon hours of my childhood were spent drawing, painting and creating. For me, art became a very important form of expression.
At age 11, I started to become fascinated with the world of design. I would save my allowance money so I could buy home design magazines. I would carefully cut out the pages of the spaces that inspired me and would draw and sketch my own ideas of imaginative interiors.
In 2006, I started my Bachelor of Interior Design at one of Canada’s most renowned schools of design, Ryerson University. After graduating, I worked at firms focusing in retail and hospitality spaces, with touches of residential design projects.
While honing my technical and concept skills to these restaurant and retail spaces, I found myself longing to get back to the area which sparked my interest in design in the first place – residential design. In addition to residential being my first foray into design as a child drawing make-believe, imagined houses, residential projects allow me to work one-on-one with clients on bespoke projects that are personal to them. Essentially, I aim to make houses into homes.
Since I have transitioned my focus to residential design, I have worked on home spaces as small as an 825 sq. ft. condo to a 4,000-5,000 sq. ft. house.
